How to play Checkers

• Each player starts with twelve pieces on the dark squares.
• Pieces move one square diagonally forward.
• Capture by jumping an adjacent enemy piece into the empty square beyond. Jumps can be chained, and capturing is compulsory.
• A piece that reaches the far row is crowned and may then move backwards too.
• Win by capturing all of your opponent's pieces or leaving them no move.
